The project was carried out with the aim to strengthen civil society organisations for monitoring and advocating good governance and transparent decision-making with regard to the policies related to children and youths.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This project was carried out in three cities, Sveti Ivan Zelina, Beli\u0161\u0107e and Vukovar, in partnership with the civil society organisations PRONI – Social Tuition Centre from Osijek, PROANIMA.Kreativka from Vukovar, the Youth Centre Beli\u0161\u0107e and the Youth Association Zelina and the City of Sveti Ivan Zelina. Cities of Beli\u0161\u0107e and Vukovar and the Association of Cities were associates of the project.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>survey \u201cWhat do YOU want to change?\u201d<\/b> was conducted as part of the project, with more than 3100 respondents, 2600 of which were children, and which collected suggestions for the improvement of the quality of life of children in three local communities. The support to civil society organisations and training sessions of the officials of institutions that deal in the promotion, respect, and protection of the rights of children and youths at the level of local self-government were provided through the activities. Training sessions were held for representatives of the local self-government, members of the council for prevention, members of local civil society organisations and media representatives who participated in the drafting of local strategies for children and youths, based on real needs of the communities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The project resulted in the drafting and adoption of three <\/span>Local Strategies for Children for the period 2016 – 2020 – in Beli\u0161\u0107e, Vukovar and Sveti Ivan Zelina<\/b>, as a contribution to creating cities tailored for children.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_toggle][et_pb_toggle title=”STRENGTHENING THE RIGHT OF CHILDREN TO BE SAFE (2013 – 2015)” open_toggle_text_color=”#fbd40a” closed_toggle_background_color=”#f1eff0″ icon_color=”#24bdb8″ use_icon_font_size=”on” icon_font_size=”24px” _builder_version=”4.9.2″ _module_preset=”default” title_text_color=”#24bdb8″ title_level=”h6″ title_font=”|700|||||||” title_text_align=”center” body_text_align=”left” text_orientation=”left” custom_padding=”|50px||50px|false|false” border_radii=”on|70px|70px|70px|70px” border_width_all=”2px” border_color_all=”#24bdb8″]<\/p>\n The project Strengthening the Right of Children to be Safe<\/b> (Osna\u017eimo pravo djece da budu sigurna)<\/b> was carried out from 2013 until 2015, co-financed by the European Union under the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR) and the Office for Cooperation with the NGOs of the Government of the Republic of Croatia.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The goal of the project was to strengthen the implementation of the legal framework that protects the children from all forms of violence and through various activities, there was an emphasis on the approach focused on the child, whereby all systems included in the protection of children\u2019s rights play a major role, particularly emphasising the mutual cooperation and responsibility of each individual to act in the child\u2019s best interest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n A large survey was conducted as part of the project with almost 6000 youths, parents, employees of the schools, kindergartens and important child protection systems, the media and local self-government participated from all over Croatia with the goal of determining crucial problems that affect the reduced efficiency in the protection of children from all forms of violence and drafting recommendations on how to improve that system. The results of the survey<\/a> and those recommendations were presented in the survey report, and as part of the project, the publication We are all the system<\/a> was published, intended for all those who deal with the issue of protection, respect, and promotion of the rights of children.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The project was carried out in five counties: The City of Zagreb, Osijek-Baranja County, Istria County, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County and Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Project partners included the FENIKS Association from Dubrovnik, Alfa Albona Association from Labin, Portal Alfa Association, Beli\u0161\u0107e and U.Z.O.R. Association from Rijeka. Project associates consisted of the City of Zagreb, City of Beli\u0161\u0107e, City of Labin and Istria County, City of Rijeka, and City of Dubrovnik.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_toggle][et_pb_toggle title=”TOGETHER FOR MUMS (2015 – 2016)” open_toggle_text_color=”#fbd40a” closed_toggle_background_color=”#f1eff0″ icon_color=”#24bdb8″ use_icon_font_size=”on” icon_font_size=”24px” _builder_version=”4.9.2″ _module_preset=”default” title_text_color=”#24bdb8″ title_level=”h6″ title_font=”|700|||||||” title_text_align=”center” body_text_align=”left” text_orientation=”left” custom_padding=”|50px||50px|false|false” border_radii=”on|70px|70px|70px|70px” border_width_all=”2px” border_color_all=”#24bdb8″]<\/p>\n Together for Mums (Zajedno za mame)<\/b> is a project aimed at helping minor and young mothers and their families that was carried out on the territory of Koprivnica-Kri\u017eevci County, with the goal of networking and strengthening the civil society organisation for providing social services to minor and young mothers at risk of social exclusion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The project was carried out over the course of 2015 and 2016 in partnership with the Women\u2019s Association \u201cHera\u201d Kri\u017eevci, the \u201cChildren First\u201d Association from Zagreb, the Department of Social Services Kri\u017eevci and co-financed by the European Social Fund under the priority \u201cStrengthening the capacity of civil society organisations for the provision of social services\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n The project has enabled greater awareness, education, and empowerment of minor and young mothers in order to strengthen their personal competencies and social skills and empower them to actively participate in the community. The Counselling Centre for minor and young mothers on the premises of the Department of Social Services in Kri\u017eevci was opened as part of this project and the experts have been educated and sensitised to provide psychosocial support to minor and young mothers, whereby, in the long term, the awareness level on the issues of minor pregnancies and the position of minor and young mothers at risk of social exclusion is raised.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/urkpk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/LOGO-organizacije-koje-brinu-297x300.jpg\"){kind=logo}
